Welcome to the website for the Integrated Therapy Service for Children and Young People in Somerset.

The Integrated Therapy Service (ITS) for Children and Young People comprises of:

• Paediatric Physiotherapists
  
• Paediatric Occupational Therapists
  
• Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists
  
• Therapy Support Practitioners
  
• Administration teams

We provide a local, community service for children and young people aged 0 - 19 years who have physical, occupational and speech and language difficulties in Somerset. The service is mainly provided within community settings such as schools and children's centres, patients' own homes or in our ITS Clinics.

Where children or young people require support from more than one therapy, our vision is to provide integrated therapy, ensuring that each child's integrated package of care is tailored to their individual needs.

Our qualified paediatric therapists are graduate health professionals who are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).

We know that you know your child best, and that we can only help them with their difficulty by listening to what you tell us and getting your views and feedback. Please ask questions if you are unsure, or if you don't think you have had sufficient information.

Somerset Community Health takes its responsibility for Safeguarding Children and Young People very seriously, and takes all the necessary steps to ensure consistent best practice across the organisation.

Somerset Community Health has a team of Safeguarding Nurses and has well established relationships across agencies to facilitate a partnership approach to Safeguarding.
