Organisational Structure

NHS Somerset is the organisation responsible for commissioning high quality health services to meet the needs of the population of Somerset, working with partner organisations, patients, clinicians, providers, third sector organisations, local authorities and the voluntary sector.

Commissioning is the process through which we assess the health needs of Somerset, secure best value and deliver improvements in health and care services to meet local needs.
