There are a wide range of voluntary organisations and support groups in health and social care: some are concerned with a particular medical condition or disability.  Others offer information, advice and support to a group of people, such as carers.

Some are national organisations with a freephone or local rate helpline, others are national organisations with local branches or support groups. There are also local organisations offering help.

For up-to-date details of organisations and groups of help to you, contact the information service Signposts on freephone 0800 317220.

Further information about Signposts can also be found by visiting the Mendip District Council website.
