We are a small countywide team of Oral Health Promoters who deliver Oral Health Information to various groups in the community. We aim to help promote knowledge of how to keep teeth and mouths healthy, in line with the principles outlined in the 2007 Government publications “Delivering Better Oral Health” and “Valuing People’s Oral Health”.
Our work is mainly targeted towards areas of particular need such as delivering training in oral health matters to groups of carers who work in residential homes; helping with oral health related national curriculum topics in primary schools; postnatal groups; liaising with other professional such as Health Visitors, Social Services, First Aid trainers, smoking cessation, etc.
We can deliver training workshops in Oral Health care or give talks to small groups, or we may be able to help with some oral health leaflets and resources.
