How it is treated

If you have tested positive for Chlamydia, Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that is easy to catch & easy to treat.

If you have tested positive for Chlamydia It means you need treatment to prevent you becoming unwell in the future and to stop you passing the infection on to others.

Treatment is an antibiotic which we can give you for free. To find out more information about the medication you need to take please click here.

There is no need to make an appointment to get your treatment.

When the CSO has spoken with you about your positive result you will be sent a treatment card. Just take this card to one of the treatment sites suggested and turn up during opening hours. Hand this card to the receptionist or nurse, they will give you the medicine and answer any other questions you have about it.
